Strix Options Review
Strix Options sells simulated options-trading evaluations on two one-step plans, with performance-based rewards and an invitation-only Live stage, run by a Pennsylvania company in Miami that gives 2026 as its founding year.
- Strix Plan· 12% target, Level 5
- Express Plan· 8% target, long only
Some official terms conflict. Strix's homepage, Rules, FAQ and Terms disagree on at least 5 material points, including whether a funded account trades firm capital or a simulation and whether a payout request locks the funded drawdown floor; further differences are noted inline. See both versions

Pricing transparency
Clear list pricesAll 8 one-time list prices and the $69–$149 activation fee are published and agree across pages. The 45% sale has no end date and was not verified at checkout.S2S1S8
Rule clarity
Detailed, some conflictsEvery rule comes in per-size dollar tables, but the Terms add a payout-triggered drawdown lock the Rules omit, and the Rules and FAQ give different expiry cutoffs.S2S3S9
Trustpilot could not be read (it returned a bot-verification page), which does not mean Strix has no reviews; its Rewards Terms award 1,000 wheel credits for a claimed Trustpilot review.

Our verdict on Strix Options
What Strix publishes. One-time list prices from $119 (Express Plan, $10K) to $569 (Strix Plan, $100K), an 80% split on both plans, and per-size dollar tables for every target, floor, minimum and payout cap. The Strix Plan allows Level 5 strategies, naked options included, and every plan allows overnight, weekend and news trading.S2S1S12S9
What is unresolved. The Terms let a payout request lock the funded floor at the starting balance, which the Rules page never mentions (C2); the Rules and FAQ give different expiry cutoffs (C3); and the rules changed four times between 11 Sep and 5 Oct 2026, each change tied to when you bought the account or the reset.S3S2S9
What is unverified. Strix gives only 2026 as its founding year. Its payout wall says it posts every paid payout, but the firm's own feed flags 189 of the 197 entries from the last 7 days “synthetic” without explaining the flag, and the Terms call every funded payout a discretionary reward.S1S18S19S3
How we review & sourcing: built from Strix's 10 core official documents as published on 16 Oct 2026, plus 15 supporting pages, including its public payout feed. We did not buy an account, trade or request a payout. Sources and method
Bottom line · Clear one-time prices and unusually detailed rules for options traders, but payouts are gated, capped and discretionary, and a Live invitation can cancel requests already made. Get written answers on the drawdown-lock and expiry conflicts first, and treat the fees as money you can afford to lose.
Pros
- One-time list prices from $119; no monthly billing
- Level 5 strategies, naked options included, on the Strix Plan
- No deadline, no minimum days, no consistency rule (bought since 11 Sep 2026)
- Overnight, weekend and news trading allowed
- Every target, floor, minimum and cap published in dollars
Cons
- 8 qualifying days, 50% of profits and a cap on each payout
- A Live notice can cancel pending payouts or cap them at $3,000
- $69–$149 activation fee, never discounted or refunded
- Payout feed flags 189 of 197 recent entries “synthetic”
- Manual orders only: no API, no TradingView, no chart yet
Who Strix Options may suit
May suit
- Options traders who want spreads, condors or naked options (Strix Plan)
- Traders who need time: no deadline and no minimum days
- Swing traders who hold overnight, over weekends and through news
- Long-premium traders who accept a tighter 4% floor (Express Plan)
Use caution if you
- Need early or large withdrawals: payout #1 is capped at $1,000 to $2,000
- Trade futures, forex, crypto or tickers outside the approved list
- Automate, or route orders from TradingView or an API
- Would lose out if a Live notice cancelled your pending payouts
- Live in a restricted country or a sanctioned region of Ukraine
Availability & country restrictions
Strix publishes two lists: the KYC FAQ closes checkout to 21 countries, and the Terms say rewards cannot be sent there or to “the sanctioned regions of Ukraine”. Every payout is checked against that list and the US OFAC list when it is sent, and Live also excludes Burundi, Libya, Nauru, Nigeria, Sierra Leone, Somalia, Sudan and Zimbabwe, because Interactive Brokers cannot onboard their residents.S6S3
On both lists
- Afghanistan
- Belarus
- Central African Republic
- Cuba
- Democratic Republic of the Congo
- Eritrea
- Haiti
- Iran
- Iraq
- Liberia
- Mali
- Mozambique
- Myanmar (Burma)
- North Korea
- Palestine
- Republic of the Congo
- Russia
- South Sudan
- Syria
- Venezuela
- Yemen
Terms only
- Sanctioned regions of Ukraine
Absence from both lists does not confirm acceptance, and the Terms make it your job to confirm that your country can receive rewards.
Account sizes, fees and discounts
Strix charges a one-time USD evaluation fee: nothing renews, and evaluations never expire. These are the 8 list prices on its Rules page and in its official selector on 16 Oct 2026, and they match the FAQ; the cheapest is $119 for a $10K Express Plan. Passing then costs a separate activation fee.S2S1S8

Checked 16 Oct 2026, 02:19–02:48 UTC. Express prices come from the Rules page and the selector's structured data, because that tab renders in the browser. Monthly plans sold before August 2026 still renew until cancelled; nothing bought today creates one.

Sale and partner prices are the firm's own figures from its plan cards, structured data and Affiliates page; we tested no checkout. Codes never discount the activation fee, and resetting an evaluation a code made free is priced from today's list price, 10 points below any sale running that day.
Key trading rules by model
Every plan is a one-step evaluation with no deadline and no minimum days. Before Live, the only loss limit is the trailing floor, watched in real time, and touching it closes the account. Terms depend on when you bought: accounts from before 11 Sep 2026 and, for Express drawdown, 27 Sep 2026 keep the rules they were sold.S2S7S8

Live, not sold: an invitation-only stage on a real Interactive Brokers sub-account, with its own rulebook. Positions must be defined-risk, a daily loss limit of $600 to $1,500 applies until the floor locks, and the allocation is half the funded size. It is never priced here.S3S10S5
How the floor moves
Both plans trail your highest equity. On a $50K Strix Plan the floor starts at $47,000 and steps up once a day at the close, while the Express floor rises with each intraday peak; on both, touching it closes the account at once. At funded activation the drawdown resets, and the floor stops at the starting balance, $50,000 here, though the Terms let a payout request lock it there sooner (C2).S2S7S3
Strategies, tickers and expiry
The Strix Plan allows Level 5: spreads, iron condors, butterflies, calendars, diagonals and naked calls and puts. Express is long single-leg calls and puts only. Both trade only symbols on the approved-ticker list (180 symbols when checked), every order fills all-or-none, and positions still open on expiration day are closed at 4:00 PM ET per the Rules or 3:55 PM ET per the FAQ (C3).S2S12S21S15S9
Holding, news, automation and copying
Overnight and weekend holds and news trading (CPI, FOMC, earnings) are allowed on every plan. There is no API or automated order routing, so every order is placed by hand, and VPNs are generally allowed. No document sets a hedging or copy-trading rule; the Terms ban “sharing or copying accounts without authorization” and dodging rules through several accounts, and you may hold up to 10 open accounts.S9S13S3S8
Rules by purchase date
Accounts bought before 11 Sep 2026 at 5:35 PM ET keep a 30% evaluation consistency cap on the Strix Plan and a funded Max Daily Gain of 30% (Strix) or 50% (Express) instead of the 8-day count. Express accounts bought before 27 Sep 2026 at 6:10 PM ET keep a 3% drawdown. Your account page states which applies.S2S3

Payouts and profit sharing
Every request needs a funded account, 8 qualifying winning days in the current cycle, KYC and a tax form before the first payout, and Strix's approval. The Terms call each payout a discretionary reward that meeting the requirements does not entitle you to.S2S3S6

Methods: ACH, or an international wire outside the US, sent from Strix's bank through Mercury, which emails a secure form for your receiving details after approval. No payout fee is published, and the activation fee is never deducted from a payout.S4S22S2
The first payout in dollars
On a $100K account the first request needs $4,000 of realized profit, because 50% of it equals both the $2,000 minimum and the $2,000 cap, plus 8 days of $200 or more. At 80% you receive $1,600 if the cap applies before the split, which the documents do not state; every feed amount for payouts 1 to 4 fits that reading. Requested at $104,000, the payout leaves $102,000 once paid, and the next request needs a balance of $104,001.S2S4S19
No processing pledge
Strix publishes no processing time. Its Payouts FAQ says timing is on the Rules page, which gives none; elsewhere it says approved payouts “typically clear within a few business days”, and the Terms call every timeline an estimate. Review before approval has no stated length, a rejection restarts the 8-day count, and trading continues during review, so a breach can close the account before the payout clears.S4S2S3S12
A Live notice and pending payouts
If Strix sends a Live Program Notice, new requests pause and pending ones are held for up to 30 days. Accept, and they lapse unpaid as every account closes. Decline, and they are paid in cash up to $3,000 per person, so five accounts with $2,000 pending each pay $3,000, not $10,000, before the accounts close for good. Leave it unanswered and nothing is paid.S3S5S10
Official information that needs clarification
The Terms (effective 26 Sep 2026) say they prevail over the published trading rules unless a document says otherwise, yet Strix's pages disagree on 5 key points; smaller differences, mostly about the Live stage, are noted inline. Ask support in writing which version applies to your account.S3S2

Marketing claims the documents qualify
- “Every strategy. No restrictions.” applies to the Strix Plan only: Express is long single-leg calls and puts, every plan is limited to the approved-ticker list (180 symbols when checked), and Live allows defined-risk positions only.S1S24S2S21S10
- “Real payouts. Receipts included.” heads a payout wall whose own feed flags 189 of its 197 entries from the last 7 days as “synthetic”, a flag the site never explains.S18S19
- “Firm capital. Withdraw it all.” describes Live, which cannot be bought or applied for, and each Live withdrawal must leave $2,000 of equity above the floor.S2S3S10
- “results map cleanly onto live conditions” is the Getting Started FAQ's line; the Terms say simulated results say nothing about what real-market conditions would have produced.S14S3
- “Generous payouts that scale” means 8 qualifying days per cycle, at most 50% of profits per payout and a first payout capped at $1,000 to $2,000; no cap is published after the fourth.S1S2

Live, by invitation
Half the funded size in real capital: $12,500, $25,000 or $50,000 from a $25K, $50K or $100K funded account; $10K accounts are not eligible; the Terms and the Going Live FAQ name only the $25K, $50K and $100K plans as eligible. Markets, platforms, KYC and support
What you can trade
Options only, on the US stocks, ETFs and index products of the approved-ticker list, SPX, SPY, QQQ and VIX among them; an order on any other ticker is blocked automatically. The list held 275 symbols at 02:19 UTC and 180 at 02:48 UTC, after a site redeploy dropped DIA, RUT and XSP among others, so check it before you buy. Weekly and 0DTE options are allowed, with no futures, forex or crypto, and positions expiring that day are closed automatically at a time the documents disagree on (C3).S21S2S9S12
Leverage: not applicable as a ratio on options-only accounts, and no buying-power or position-size limit is published for the Evaluation or Funded stage beyond the trailing floor. At Live, buying power is held at its entry level, 50% of the funded plan size; the Terms describe steps up to 125%, but the Live Program Rules say the ladder is not applied today.S2S10S3
Simulated accounts and company
Evaluation and Funded accounts are simulated: the Terms call their balances “fictional numbers, not currency and not real capital”, whatever the homepage says about “our capital” (C1), and RixTrade's terms say no order is routed to any exchange. Your real-money exposure is the fees, and payouts are rewards Strix pays from its own bank account. Only the invitation-only Live stage trades Strix's capital, in an Interactive Brokers sub-account Strix owns.S3S1S25S4S22
Platforms
- RixTradeDocumented

- Before the first payout, and sometimes sooner: photo ID front and back plus a selfie, reviewed by a person with no promised turnaroundS6
- A W-9 (US taxpayers) or W-8BEN (everyone else); US payees paid $600 or more in a year may get a 1099-NECS6
- The receiving account must be in the name on your verified ID, and each payout is screened against the US OFAC list when it is sentS4S6
Support
Channels: email (support@strixoptionsfunding.com), the single address the Terms give for billing, support, compliance and legal questions, and a Discord server the Contact page calls its trader hub, with live chat. Strix Options FAQ
What is Strix Options?
An options-only prop firm run by Strix Options LLC, a Pennsylvania company with a Miami address that gives 2026 as its founding year. It sells one-step evaluations on two plans, for $10K to $100K accounts.S3S22S1S8
Are Strix Options accounts simulated?
Yes. The Terms say Evaluation and Funded accounts are simulations with fictional balances and no real capital, despite the homepage's “our capital”. Your real-money exposure is the fees, and payouts are discretionary rewards. Only the invitation-only Live stage trades Strix's own money.S3S1
Which plans can I buy?
The Strix Plan and the Express Plan, each at $10K, $25K, $50K or $100K. Both are one-step evaluations with no deadline and no minimum trading days; there is no instant-funding model.S8S2
How do the Strix Plan and the Express Plan differ?
Strix Plan: a 12% target, a 6% trailing floor that rises once a day, and Level 5 strategies including naked options. Express Plan: an 8% target, a 4% floor that trails intraday, and long single-leg calls and puts only.S2S8
How much does Strix Options cost?
One-time list prices run from $119 (Express Plan, $10K) to $569 (Strix Plan, $100K). Passing adds a $69 to $149 activation fee. A 45% sitewide discount was advertised with no end date; we did not verify it at checkout.S2S1S8
How do drawdown and consistency work?
Both plans trail your highest equity and close the account the moment the floor is touched. Accounts bought since 11 Sep 2026 have no consistency rule in either phase; funded payouts need 8 qualifying winning days instead. There is no daily loss limit before Live.S2S7
When can I request a payout?
Once the cycle holds 8 qualifying winning days, for up to 50% of profits, between the $250 to $2,000 minimum and that payout's cap, with KYC and a tax form done first. The FAQ says approved payouts “typically clear within a few business days”.S2S4S6
What happens if Strix invites me to Live?
New payout requests pause for up to 30 days. Accept and every pending request lapses unpaid while all your accounts close; decline and pending requests are paid up to $3,000 in total before your accounts close for good; ignore the notice and nothing is paid.S3S5
Are the fees refundable?
No. Evaluation, activation and reset fees are final under the Terms, with discretionary exceptions for duplicate charges or processor errors. Opening a chargeback without contacting support first can get the account suspended.S3S11
Which trading platform does it use?
RixTrade, a web platform run by a separate company, Rix Trade LLC. Every order is placed by hand: there is no API, no TradingView link and, for now, no built-in price chart.S13S25
Which countries are restricted?
Checkout is closed to 21 countries, the Terms also bar rewards to sanctioned regions of Ukraine, and Live excludes 8 more countries. Being on neither list does not confirm acceptance.S6S3
What has not been independently verified?
Payout records (the firm's own feed flags 189 of 197 recent wall entries “synthetic”), its Trustpilot profile (not readable; reviews earn wheel credits), and its claims of “< 10ms” execution with “Zero lag” and support replies within 8 hours. We did not buy an account, trade or request a payout.S19S17S1S20
Considering Strix Options?

How this review was researched
We read each document in full, logged every claim with its plan, stage and source, re-fetched every page on 16 Oct 2026 (02:19–02:48 UTC) and compared the payout wall with the firm's public feed without recording any names. “Published” means Strix says it, not that it is proven. Our methodology
